wii..

grampa is a good wii bowler-- he smoked us this afternoon-- he may not be the fastest bowler but he can lay down a strike -- as he says, " even an idiot can be good at this" guess some of us are beyond hope.....

in other news we have a backyard that is quite pretty -- we have had a major redo in the last week-- trees, bushes, citrus, and now roses and plants.. pictures coming soon ....

grampa went to care group (fellowship group) for the first time on Tuesday - he was telling me about the lovely house it was at and proceeded to tell me no one puts out a spread like reverend richardson... who??

favorite phrase

i told grampa i was starting a blog to record his antics.. i told him the name of it was one of his favorite phrases.. to which he replied oh, "i forget?".. nope but at least he remembers that he forgets

pro-flowers meet...

pro-verbs??

grampa woke up at 3am last night and got online to read pro-verbs... or proverbs as the rest of us refer to that book of the bible

why was he up at 3am?? well we went out to dinner last night and he took his insulin when we got home-- trouble was his blood sugar was a healthy normal 121 but he took his regular amount and caused his sugars to drop so much so that we pumped him full of sugar-- a piece of apple pie, 2 glasses of OJ, 4 sugar pills, and a piece of toast.... helped bounce his sugar up and kept him up-- poor guy...

life has its ups & downs....

grampa needed to get some documents notarized so he went to ups... as in up & down-- took me a few to figure out U.P.S the store with the men in brown

grampa ran an errand awhile back.. he went to the oculist..... or as you and i would say the eye doctor

hows come

grampa is often found saying hows come? -- hows come you don't want to go out to dinner? hows come my computer doesn't work? hows come?? not quite sure hows come-- but it makes me think of "cows come" every time...

how i came to have a roomie

"if anything ever happens to grandma...i get grampa" these words begin the tale of how grampa came to settle in with me-- we had just come back from hawaii and i was talking to mom and said i get grampa -- at the time it seemed an unlikely outcome-- he had been in and out of the hospital a few time within the past months-- grandma hadn't been to the hospital in 28 years... but then 3/17 came and she left this earth and i got grampa.. what follows are our tales--
